OLD TEXAS SPICE TRADERS OPENS LOCATION IN FW STOCKYARDS
FORT WORTH, TX – Stockyards Station announces the opening of Old Texas Spice Traders at 140 E. Exchange Avenue in the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards on March 1, 2008. This exceptional boutique has a rustic trading-post look and feel, typical of an 18th century seaport, but with Stockyards’ western flare.
Old Texas Spice Traders boasts a wide selection of spices, herbs, teas, and sea salts from around the world. The highlight of the store is the hand-mixed custom blends, which includes steak rubs, fish seasonings, curries, and other specialties. In addition, they offer great accessories such as hand-carved mills, spice racks, mortars & pestles, and other related items. The spices are also beautifully displayed in over 200 hand-blown glass jars that line the walls of the store. The store offers an array of items that will appeal to cooks of all skill levels, as well as gift ideas that will appeal to all spending levels. One can select from a bag of sea-salt for 99 cents, all the way up to a 24” artisan peppermill for $170.
Old Texas Spice Traders in Fort Worth is the latest opening of similar stores opening across the nation. The stores were founded by a group of friends who share a love for food and creative cooking, and local owners Jerry and Nancy McBrayer state “Not only can you find many unusual or hard-to-find spices in our store, but you will always find the freshest product and highest quality available”.
