Cowtown Goes Green

On March 14th, Stockyards Station will host Cowtown Goes Green, the city’s largest and most family friendly St. Patrick’s Day celebration. The event, from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District will feature free activities for kids including a petting zoo, face painting, games and contests with the 92.1 Hank FM, live music, Irish dance performances, gunfights, and our own special Western/Irish themed Cowtown Goes Green parade follows the 4pm cattle drive and is a green culmination of local businesses, horseback riding clubs, radio stations and more traveling down Exchange Avenue. After the parade, the Legends of Texas will perform a gunfight inside Stockyards Station. 

There will also be horseshoe throwing contests on the lawn of the Cowtown Coliseum with prizes. Pawnee Bill’s Wild West Show will be at the Coliseum at 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tickets to the show are $15 for adults and $10 for children’s. All other activities are free.
